But for example TweetDeck doesn’t allow searching with åcon3! I tried! acon3 is ok. But it actually searches both åcon3 and acon3 with it… And last week the search engine (on the Twitter site) didn’t seem to find a difference between those two, today as well. I’ve posted with both åcon3 and acon3 and the results both came when searching with either. I just tried again and it’s not working anymore. Great! So stick to the #åcon3 hashtags, I suppose…

There’s a difference between the hash tags in Twitter — for example the search results only show the one you used. So, if people use two different tags, then you need to do two searches to follow them. I recommend using #åcon3, since the search engine nowadays can handle it.

For Finns there is also the meeting of the Finncon Society on Saturday morning at 11. Talks shall be in Finnish, though event is open for all.

The best place to inquire about the train from Helsinki is probably the members mailing list. More info on that is on the members page.

As far as I know it says on this page already:

The ferry from Turku (Silja Line) leaves at 8.15 on Thursday May 21st. The ferry will arrive to Mariehamn at 13.35. On Sunday May 24th the ferry leaves at 13.45 from Mariehamn and arrives to Turku at 19.15.

The ferry from Stockholm (Silja Line) leaves at 7.10 on Thursday May 21st. The ferry will arrive to Mariehamn at 13.35. On Sunday May 24th the ferry leaves at 13.45 from Mariehamn and arrives to Stockholm at 18.15. All times are local times.

There is no group trip organized for the trains (as so many people are coming from other places than Helsinki) so getting to the harbor will be up to the people themselves. For the info about the car numbers of the train should be asked from the people traveling from Helsinki and as far as I know those people don’t include me or Sami who update this website, sorry!

But all the info needed for booking the same ferry is on this page already!

When will you release the info about what ferry (Silja or Viking?) and what train is the posse traveling back from Marienhamn to Helsinki?
It would be nice to be able to reserve tickets for the same trip.
Also: any idea about the number of the carriage on the train where people have the seats?

Is it possible to join only the group back home from the con?
I have work duties so I’ll have to come by myself late to the con, but it would be nice (and cheaper) to join the group travel to get back.
